Question: How many pounds will I lose based off of the following information.?
Okay... so I will eat 900 calories a day and lose about 1500 calories a day. About how many pounds will I lose a week.?

(I do not want anybody saying "You need to eat more than that!" You guys do not know my health issues, etc. and that is not my question.)Health Question & Answer

Answers:
It takes losing 3500 calories to lose a pound, so you would lose a little over a 4-5 lbs per week in theory, however that is not likely to happen. Probably more like 2-3.

However, if that is all that you are eating then it is highly likely that your body will go into a hoarding mode and it will actually cause you to gain weight.

My suggestion is to increase your calories to 1200 per day. That is a good average for a dieting female. It is only 300 more calories and as long as you are eating healthy with those 1200 calories and drinking lots of water it should help keep you from hoarding all the extra fat.Health Question & Answer

Your question makes no sense. How does one eat 900 calories per day and "lose" 1500.? If you meant doing 1500 calories worth of exercise, that's something like running 12-15 miles. You can't do that more than one day in a row if you're taking in only 900 calories. It simply won't happen. I'm an Ironman. I have a very good idea what it takes to fuel intense exercise, and I know from experience what happens when you don't take in enough fuel.

The average female requires 1500 or so calories just to "keep the lights" on, i.e., fuel normal activities, brain function, and maintain body temperature.

Below that, stored fat is gradually used up to make up the difference. Above that, the excess is stored as fat.

There is a lot of individual variation from one person to the next in metabolism and digestive efficiency. Weight loss is an experiment with a sample size of one. Two people the same size won't react the same way to the same inputs, and you can't think of weight loss in terms of "a week". It doesn't work that way.Health Question & Answer

It's not that simple.
1)It's not possible to know how many calories one uses in a day.
2)As you get more used to a certain exercise(more efficient at performing it)you burn fewer calories
3)A person weighing 400 pounds burns up more calories than a person weighing 150 pounds,so as you get lighter the less calories you use
4)your body may adapt to the lack of calories by burning lessHealth Question & Answer

I had way too many pounds in all the embarrassing areas until I used acai berry, I know they say that pills will not work, nevertheless they definitely worked for me, and they've been showcased on the Rachael Ray Show too. There's a free trial on at the moment at http://farihets.worldcom.bz , try it, what's the worst that could happen.?Health Question & Answer

So, you're taking in a total of 900 x 7 = 6300 calories a week, and burning 1500 x 7 = 10 500 calories ... that means you will have a deficit of 4200 calories. So that is 1 pound (3500 calories) and a fifth of a pound (700 calories) a week.
You may lose more or less, depending on your body's metabolism.Health Question & Answer

youll lose 600 cals a day then you will lose
