Question: Going to dinner at someone's house in an hour and a half...scared I'm going to go over my calories for the day.?
Some people invited me to dinner at their house today. I've been trying to watch my calories lately and not eat over 1200 per day. It is VERY important to me that I don't go over my calorie limit. I always end up giving up because of crap like this, social situations where I'm essentially forced to eat whatever is there in order to not be rude and then my diet is ruined!!!

I don't even know what they're making. I'm really afraid it's going to be something with a lot of calories and/or fat in it. Is there a way I can get out of eating very much.? I'm so afraid they're like going to have pizza or lasagna or something horrible like that. I've already had 300 calories today. That leaves only 900 for dinner.

Don't tell then you are on a diet, because they will try and persuade you not to be. Just eat whatever is there, but halve the portion (if they serve it to you), if it is like a serve yourself dinner, just dont put much on the plate. If you don't mention a diet, they probably won't say anything. If they ask you why you havn't eaten much just say you're full, but it was delicious! ask for the recipe or something...Health Question & Answer

Well, just remember you have a WHOLE 900 left. That's a lot. I don't count calories and I eat whatever I want, I never gain weight. I most likely eat about 5000 a day.Health Question & Answer
