Question: Am fairly overwieght.. Is this a healthy diet.?
Am eating one weetabix, with milk in the morning.
2 sandwiches at lunch & a piece of fruit
For dinner I have a meal which is equal to around 500 calories, I've worked out that my calorie intake each day is around 1200 - 1400 per day, i exercise for 20 minutes each morning.
I've completely cut out chocolate, crisps & snacks from my diet.
My question is does this sound like a healthy diet to have.? I really don't want to be ill when i'm older.

ive just started a diet 2 and its simalar to yours id have a little more for breakfast though its the most important meal of the day, i alternate between 2 slices of wholemeal toast with peanut butter or branflakes with hot milk (fills you up for longer) or cheerios. then lunches can be a mix between a salad sandwich only if i had cereal in the morning not to eat more than 2 slices of bread in 1 day. or a fruit salad with a healthy yougart or a small chicken salad with fruit etc a dinners i like the weightwatches meals there really yummy and i add loads of veg so it fills me up more. i also have cut out ''normal tea'' and relaced it with herbal teas i.e oolong tea which is really nice. i dont eat choc crisps cake stuff like that - (never ate much of that before, im more of a savory type person) but its no longer there except once a month (period time) we girls need that choc fix once a month :0). i do 20-30 mins exercise 4 times a week and i walk everywhere as we have no car atm so im gettin extra exercise there aswell as pushing a buggy which helps! thats it really, and ive just noticed ive been babbling on a bit haha so all in all yes your diet is good and u need to be just under 2000 cals a day as your trying to loose weight, just mix it up a little so you dont get bored. hope i helped if u want a fitness buddy to chat with and what not email me @ gina_wilky07@hotmail.co.uk i dont bite im nice x gd luck xHealth Question & Answer

This is a healthy diet but you should eat a little more than that, you are meant to eat 2000 calories a day if you are a woman, 1500 a child, 2500 a man. it is best to exercise about 30 minutes a day but the food you eat is healthy just try to eat a little more than that.

I did the GI Diet and lost weight easily. 1 stone in a few weeks.
Its healthy and as long as you eat the correct foods you an have as much as you like. You feel hungry less and it really works. The book is cheap and the basic principle is eating foods off a green list (good), yellow list (not as good) and a red list (bad).

Its a very healthy diet, but you may get bored very quickly trust me on this ive been there!
Try to adjust your lunch at least a couple of times in the week and remember veg/salad and fruit can be eaten as much as you like because Natural sugars and fats are essential for your exercise energy!

yeah sounds pretty good. Maybe increase your calorie intake by about 150 - 200 as not to put yourself into starvation mode where the bodie burns less calories.
