How do you stay motivated on a diet?!

Question: How do you stay motivated on a diet.?
Answers:
There are a couple different things that I personally like to do to stay on a diet. One of the most effective tools for me is visualization. I try to picture myself at my goal weight and then I imagine how good I will feel and how good I will look. It also helps to keep a current picture or a before picture of you nearby so that you always have that imagine in mind for why you are on this diet and why it will be so very positive one you are complete with it.

I also find a really good tool that helps with that. It is a free website that offers instant previews of your weight loss. The website is www.weightview.com and all you do is submit a before picture, the amount you desire to lose, and they will email you a digital edit of what you will look like after loosing that weight. Whenever I am feeling like I am about to give up, I like to look at that.

also one of favorite saying that keeps me motivated is:

"Nothing taste as good as being healthy feels"

Best of luck, I know you can do it!Health Question & Answer

First of all, stop calling it a "diet." If this is a temporary thing and you will eventually go back to "eating normal" then you are bound to fail, so you should just stop now. Fad eating (aka diets) conditions your body to be more efficient in storing fat, carbs or whatever it is that you are currently depriving it. It will store these like gang-busters as soon as you "go back to eating normally" and undo all of your hard work.

You need to adjust your eating habits as an adjustment of lifestyle. Like quitting smoking, getting exercise or anything else that you "must" do that is good for you. The motivation should be to look at other people who are fat, out of shape or whatever and decide you don't want to be like them.

When it comes to adjusting your eating habits, it helps if you allow yourself to be "bad" one day a week (mine is Friday night). That's when I'm allowed to have desert, drink alcohol or whatever. During the week, I look forward to Friday as the night to satisfy my urges.

You need to find a way to reward yourself for good behavior, so you will be more likely to continue doing the right thing.Health Question & Answer
