Question: Do you support the DEA practicing medicine and locking up doctors.?
i recently went to their website and noticed that they have a whole section where they actually brag about all the doctors they have locked up and/or punished

i myself have pain issues, and go to a pain clinic, and the doctors there have even expressed to me that they have a fear to prescribe drugs "that they know people need", because of these DEA persons
some doctors told me that they have even had to go before them , like for investigations and what not
it's bad when grandma can't even get her arthritis medicine, because the doctor's afraid of the manHealth Question & Answer

Answers:
The problem is that the government thinks that they know what is in the best interest of our entire population. A DEA agent doesn't know more about a patient than the patients personal doctor. This is gonna get worse as we move into a government run healthcare, its unfortunate that people didn't realize this when they choose who was gonna run our country. Every Doctor who prescribes controlled substances in the United States has what is referred to as a DEA number, by which their prescribing practices are (potentially) tracked. I suppose this practice is necessary to control diversion of controlled substances, but it is often taken too far; and yes, it makes Doctors fearful, and deprives some patients of necessary medication.
