Back to volleyball practice after a month and is experiencing nausea and a headache after the practice.?!

Question: Back to volleyball practice after a month and is experiencing nausea and a headache after the practice..?
I haven't played volleyball in a month because of the winter break. Now I'm back to playing for season. We practiced earlier and after practice I went home, ate dinner, and i have this nausea feeling and a terrible headache.

I'm not sure if it's dehydration because I finished 2 bottles of Gatorade during the 3 hours of practice.

What could be the cause of this nausea and headache feeling.?

What should I do to get rid of it.. I tried to lay down but it makes me feel like I need to vomit more. What should I do.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
40 oz of fluid intake over a 3 hour period isn't a lot, and that much Gatorade's going to do more harm to you than good because of all the sugar.

The other thing is that not having played for a month and coming back to a long practice is going to have its effect as well.

Hydrate throughout the day before practice. It will help a lot.Health Question & Answer

make sure you drink enough fluids before you play! it can be even more important than drinking during your practice! try taking a ibuprofen before too.Health Question & Answer
