i'm trying to quit at the moment! and its so hard, i've smoked since i'm 13, now 24, everything revolves around smoking! i take my hat off to those that have successfully quit... its one of the hardest things i've ever tried to do! i don't think we'll ever be smoke free completely.Health Question & Answer

No, we won't ever be smoke-free completely. The only reason you feel like people are quitting is because you're growing up, and your friends are growing up as well. At my age (17) everyone always smokes, and it's annoying! I used to.. Until I finally put some sense in my head that I don't want to die early, or have lung cancer and talk like a weirdo. Over time, I know that my friends will also quit! It just depends on your age and maturityHealth Question & Answer

Yep, smoking is becoming more and more antisocial. You have to smoke outside everywhere or so far from the building and heaps of people are so anti-smoking now too!
I will quit eventually but I enjoy smoking. There seems to be so much stigma about smoking but not a lot of focus on the economic, social and health effects of drinking or drug use. I feel like us smokers are a bit singled out!Health Question & Answer

yes i am quiting as soon as i leave for my 8 month deployment. i am ready and excited. it is the best time to quit for me since it is hard to get smokes when you are stuck in the middle of the ocean for months at a time and plus we stay so busy out there that i wont be thinking about smoking.Health Question & Answer

I wish that your figures were right but smoking is on the increase again, Just look at the price of tobacco shares. The biggest increase is among young girls and women. It appears that they just don't want to get fat. Fat people don't live as long as smokers.Health Question & Answer

Yes, I do plan to quit smoking in the future (hopefully sooner rather than later). And no, i will never be completely smoke free because even if I do stop smoking. I will still be a passive smoker.Health Question & Answer
