Problems with my knee after falling, please answer? Possible fluid on kneecap? ?!

Question: Problems with my knee after falling, please answer.? Possible fluid on kneecap.? .?
Ok, so I'm very ungraceful, and I fall A LOT. I fell on my knee while I was playing with my dog, and I fell straight on it. I felt a huge pain, and I was able to limp to the bathroom. It's now about a month later, and if I touch the area around my cartilage and kneecap, I feel such a sharp pain that I can't walk. I can always walk without pain, but if someone touches my knee or I sit on it, or there's any contact at all, it hurts so bad!
Could I have fluid on my knee, or a sprain.? What other injuries are possible.? also, if I have fluid on my knee, could you please tell me how much it hurts to get it taken out...Health Question & Answer

hey there. i know from experience falling stinks haha. well anyway over this summer i also had a knee injury, adn if you have pain for more than a week i would definitely reccommend getting it checked out. as much as it stinks to hear you could have done a number of things. you could have torn your LCL, ACL, or MCL, torn cartilage, or shattered something. since you have pain a month later thats a sign its probably more than just a sprain. i know everyone usually says go to a doctor but im saying it cuase i know from personal experience. even if it is nothing, better to know that than keep worrying. but i feel it would be only helpful to get it checked out since you said you fell straight on it. hope i helped!Health Question & Answer
