Frostbite?Or something else? Can it cause bleeding?!
Question: Frostbite.?Or something else.? Can it cause bleeding.?
Waking home from work friday my boots filled up with snow. It was just above zero degrees (windchill was negative), so obviously my toes were in a lot of pain.
Sunday, one of my toes was swollen and shiny and very sore. At one point I looked down at it only to realize the nail was crusted over with blood. I looked but there are no sores or wounds.
Monday it felt a bit sore when walking, but mostly there was a feeling of numbness.
Today, when I got home from work, my foot was COVERED in blood. It seems to be coming from the nail bed but I can't find any open wounds.
Tonight it feels numb in a tingly way...
I know frost bite usually causes extreme symptoms like gray skin, so maybe it's even silly to ask...
But this is weirding me out.
Any ideas.?Health Question & Answer
