Question: Please help with my moms severe migraine.?
My mom gets severe headaches and hurts really bad that she cries (which she barely does). She has tried many things, all over the counter stuff (Excedrin, ibu, aspirin, aleeve, advil) and prescription stuff too (celebrex, treximet). I really want to find a way to help her out. If you have a natural remedy or any advice, I would greatly appreciate it.Health Question & Answer

I have used several remedies including homeopathic for the symptoms and they help a lot, often more than anything else. I've also used an herb called feverfew. I try to get the guaranteed potency and the brand I like the best is "Solaray" I think that Nature's herbs has a blend and they work very well, because the herbs work synergystically. I've also known of women who get headaches close to their menses starting, or at the time they would start if they are in menopause already. also a mineral called magnesium can help because it helps with smooth muscle function which can be a problem in some migraines. Sometimes progesterone cream will help because it is a precursor to many hormones and it helps to get them all balanced. All women can benefit from progesterone, from teenagers all they way to 99. :) These are just things that have worked for me and you need to make sure that you check with someone like your pharmacist or physician to make sure they won't interfere with any medications you may be taking and if you are allergic to any flowers because feverfew is related to chrysanthemums and Daisies.Health Question & Answer
