My advice is to always check with the doctor. Never think that you are stupid just because you don't know about your body. You wouldn't build your own home or plumb your bathroom yourself, so why would you be expected to diagnose yourself.

Taking alot of tablets is not the way to go although the doctors do dish them out like sweats because they don't have the time to actually check you out properly. Ibuprofen is very strong and should never be taken on an empty stomach. ALWAYS take it either with food or directly after food.

If it is pain they were prescribed for, there are plenty of lotions that are 100% natural and will help relieve pain naturally. Google them and see. I did that and found several from magnetic relief to Elmore Oil. Take your pick after reading about them and then you can decide what to do.

as its taken so long to get results from taking the Ibuprofen I would suggest going back to your doctor, as you didnt say what damage you have done to your chest wall, maybe an x-ray would be a good idea, you also said that you were taking omazeprole to lesson the possibility of getting a stomach ulcer so that is good and one less thing for you to worry about, one of the side effects of taking Ibuprofen is constipation so that might be the reason for your stomach swelling up if you are getting that side effect.Health Question & Answer

Ibuprofen can take the lining off your stomach. There's no logic to taking it for weeks on end. It either works on a short-term basis or not at all. Anyway, you must stay off it - and other anti-inflammatories - permanently now. The omeprazole should settle your stomach down again - but don't take that for too long either. All drugs have side effects!

If the chest is still painful, ask your GP to suggest a reputable acupuncturist. That can be very helpful (and safe).Health Question & Answer

You should never take any medication for more than a couple of days without seeking medical advice from a qualified doctor.

You should certainly not mix medications without checking with your doctor...

I suggest you go and see them asap.

I did have a similar thing during last week though, i was bloated and it felt like trapped gas but it wasn't. It was painful and lasted for about 4 days (not period related) and now its gone... Maybe some kind of bug i don't know.Health Question & Answer

ibuprofen is an anti inflammatory therefore is alright to take if the doctor prescribed this medicine the swelling should have gone down instead of increasing also if there is a lot of pain try to take some paracetamol but only if the ibuprofen is not stronger than 200 mg this may help ease the pain and please make an appointment to see your doctorHealth Question & Answer
