Is my finger still broken?!

Question: Is my finger still broken.?
Okay, like a month ago ~ my sis and I were playing around and I accidentally bent my middle finger. I could barely move it because it hurt so much. I put some ice on it and a week later, it didn't hurt as much. Now, it has a red bump but it does not hurt at all.? why.? Is it a broken finger.? pls tell me! (:Health Question & Answer

Don't worry about it. I have broken many fingers, some have healed completely, some have not. None of my knuckles are the same size at all and my fingers point in slightly different directions. It actually looks kind of funny. Anyway, I "stoved" my middle finger about a year ago. (I got kicked in the hand, straight on the end of my middle finger, it broke so bad that my joints all exploded, and the straight bones in my finger were jammed into the rest of my hand. It looked like I had half a finger with a bunch of scrunched up skin around it. It was nasty.) After getting everything put back into place, and a year later, I still have bony bumps on all of my joints on that finger from where the bones didn't go back in exactly as they were before. I have full function of this finger now, and nothing is wrong with it. I wouldn't worry about anything. As long as it doesn't hurt and you can move it fine, your body has taken care of it.

Sorry to get so long with the story, but I wanted to give a frame of reference.Health Question & Answer

Doesn't matter. If it broke it's already healing and can't be set. So just let it run it's courseHealth Question & Answer
