Hey there!

I feel your pain. I have "gallbladder attacks" and no stones or abnormalities that they can see from an ultrasound and yet if I eat greasy or fried foods I get severe hot pain in my upper back and under my right rib...so my doctor says "obviously something is wrong" so I'm going to a gallbladder specialist on feb 20th. He might end up taking it out (the first doctor I saw said that might happen even with normal results on the ultrasound) because he said sometimes this "sludge" gets stuck and it isn't visible through an ultrasound. Sometimes they can't see it until they take it out.

I suggest you see a specialist. Not just a gastroenterologist (i've seen one and he didn't seem to know much about gallbladders weird as it may seem). Try to find one in your area who knows about biliary pain and gallbladders.

I hope you feel better soon. Try not to eat greasy or fatty foods until you see a doctor.Health Question & Answer

It sounds like you need to see a specialist for tests other than the ultra sound. There is a reason you are having the pain. I had pain several years ago and the hospital also told me my gallbladder was fine--I went to a specialist and had to have the gallbladder surgery. This is not worth taking any chances--go to a Gastro specialist.Health Question & Answer
