well hun, could you give us any more details, is it swollen, bruised. If it is still hurting after two weeks i think is may be broke. i have broke my 3 of my fingers, plus my leg, plus my ankle, plus, my arm, plus my knee, so i think it may be broke, if it isn't then it is probably just severely bruised. I hope it gets better soon, and i hope its not broke. hope i could help. also hunni try buddy taping it like the one above me said, because thats what they do for broken fingers. Unless it is something that needs surgery.Health Question & Answer

If you have a finger injury still after 2 weeks it may be best to get a x-ray for safety, this will help find any "hairline cracks" which are tiny cracks in bones that are only very slight. How far can you bend the finger towards the palm of your hand.? if you have full motion than it probably is fine. If you see these symptoms than for safety see a doctor.
(1) Pain in movement
(2) inflammation/swelling - your finger is puffy and soft to touch
(3) movement has become restricted.

Another thing it may be is the "muscles" that attach to that finger. Move your hand, see that wirey looking muscle running up your arm.? That could be a little sore or damaged even.

The best thing to do restrict movement as much as possible, this will help the healing to be fast and proper! But do consider seeing a doctor all of this is affecting you.

try getting some sports tape (its white) and buddy tape your fingers. So if its your pointer finger tape it to the middle finger. tape it in between the nail and the middle joint then again between the middle joint and your knuckle.Health Question & Answer
