What is unusual bleeding?!

Question: What is unusual bleeding.?
What counts as unusual bleeding.? I noticed I have been getting quite a few bruises since I started a new medication a few months back, and also had what I suspect was hemorrhoids (I have never had them, but I think thats what it was). Does that come under the definition of 'unusual bleeding', which is a side effect of the medication I am on.

I am not really concerned, I have been on the meds for a while and feel good. My mother mentioned it though, and when I looked at the info pamphlet I saw unusual bleeding and wondered.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Unusual bleeding is a very broad term. It could easily mean excessive bruising, or prolonged periods, or that you bleed for three hours after you get a paper cut. New hemorrhoids are not unusual bleeding, although if they bleed for a long time after they burst, that would be unusual bleeding. I wouldn't necessarily be worried, but I would definitely point it out to your physician the next time you are in for a check up.Health Question & Answer
