Question: Anyone know of any Home Remedies to fall asleep easier.?
My whole life I have had problems falling asleep. About 3 months ago I stopped drinking caffeine cold turkey. This has definitely helped the situation. But I am still having trouble at times falling asleep. I have tried sleep medication but I do not like drugs, I also do not like feeling drowsy when I wake up. I think I have woken up feeling awake and refreshed maybe 3 times in my life, I am 23, This is no joke. Every single morning of my life I awaken feeling like I could still sleep for another 8 hours, even though I have always slept between 6-9 hours.Health Question & Answer

Drink hot milk with 1 teaspoon of sugar before sleep. Sleep not more than 8 hours. After waking up dont sleep again during the day. Dont take even a nap also. If you feel sleepy do some work but dont sleep during the day. Go for a walk for atleast 20 minutes regularly.Health Question & Answer

1. tylenol PM (acetaminophen + Benadryl/diphenhydramine)
2. L-tryptophan (same ingredient in warm milk)
3. melatonin (secreted from the pineal gland)

warm milk, or few sips of wine or 1/2 a beer, or piece of bread (carbs) or bite of meat (protein), piece of cheese.

you can try 1/ above then 2/ above then 3/ above, then combinations of them if they don't work, then all three if necessary. if you get to that point, you might want to ask your doctor for Ambien CR, although some people have had sleep-walking experiences (rarely) on it.Health Question & Answer
