BAD neck pain...pulled a muslce 9 years ago...Help please?!

Question: BAD neck pain...pulled a muslce 9 years ago...Help please.?
I'll keep this short as I can because I'm wondering what to do now.

I fell and pulled a muscle in my neck 9 years ago. I pulled it really bad and I couldn't feel anything for 10mins or so when I fell. I simply fell on my butt walking down a hill.

I had pain for a long time, 2-3 months.

It comes back every once in a while.

About 4-5 years ago, I had x-rays done, MRI. Couldn't find anything wrong so I got sent for Physical Therapy. Didn't help.

Now, my pain is back. Oh it hurts SOOOO bad. I can barely function right now. (It can get worse so bad I can't even move.) But anyways. My husband wants me to go back to the doctor.

Should I.? I mean, what can they do.? I had the xray and MRI, nothing found!

also, my neck/spine bones seem to be pushing forward. When I had the xrays done 9 years ago, it had the curve in it. When I had the xrays 4 years ago, my neck was no longer having that curve. When I have a hump back as I get older.?

Please any suggestions would be appreciated!Health Question & Answer

Answers:
You're having muscle spasms. That is why you lose the curve. Your muscles are pulling your spine straight. See if the doctor will send you to physical therapy for pain management. Massage, hot packs might help the problem. If there's nothing wrong on the MRI, there's no surgery option. Anti-inflammaories like Alleve might help or you might need a stronger prescription one.Health Question & Answer

Go to a chiropractor. They specialize in skeletal injuries. What's an allopath going to do for you.? Cut, poison, irradiate--that's all they have in their toolbag. Additionally, nine (9!) years is a hell of a long time to wait to do something substantive about an injury. Don't listen to your husband, listen to yourself. YOU know you're in pain, that something's not right, and hasn't been for almost a decade now. Do something about it, and here's a clue: If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten. Go see someone else besides your allopath. Go see an osteopath if you don't want to go see a chiropractor. They're trained in spinal and joint manipulations, too.Health Question & Answer
