Anaemia does it! I had low potassium and I was anaemic. They gave me potassium but I still had it. They gave me a few blood transfusions and I was fine.Health Question & Answer

If this is happening to you most nights then speak to your doctor as you can get tablets to stop you taking cramp. Some people are more prone to cramp than others. I do not know if you like the taste of tonic water but it contains quinine which is the active ingredient in the tabs the doctor can prescribe for you but obviously the tonic water has lower levels of it but it may be worth giving it a try. Good luckHealth Question & Answer

Sounds like your body is low in essential salts.

Look for a potassium supplement, or eat loads of bananas.

Remember to drink enough water during the day so that you don't get dehydrated at night. If you wake up with a headache as well, this is a good sign that you are dehydrated.

Edit: sounds like a liquidised raw liver diet for you then...Health Question & Answer
