HEEL PAIN CAN FEEL A CLICK?!
Question: HEEL PAIN CAN FEEL A CLICK.?
Hi,
I did an injury where I fell from 3 metres onto a cement floor and landed on my left heel. My heel was very sore for a few days after, although it has been 3 months and my heel is still sore and i can feel a click around the inner calcaneus region. I don't think it would be plantar fasciitis as it is not sore when i wake up, only sore when i continue to run or stand or put alot of pressure on it and im training for a triathlon. An x-ray showed no bone damage and was clear so i may need an ultra sound. Hurts worse when i put pressure on the side of my heel. Any suggestions what it may be.? ThanksHealth Question & Answer

Sounds to me like you probably have a small stress fracture that only partially heals due to placement and constant weight bearing. Only an MRI can tell for sure if the calcaneus is fractured at the microscopic level.Health Question & Answer
It sounds just like plantar fasciitis , but I cannot say for sure. I developed that after hurting my foot as well. It is better to see a doctor and let the doctor evaluate it. The thing that helps the pain is to keep ice on it. I freeze a bottle of water and roll the bottle under my foot, it's therapeutic because it's giving me excercise and helping out with the pain.
I do it for about 20 min per hour. Another thing that helps are cortizone injections. They hurt like heck, but it's worth it!Health Question & Answer

Lots of ice. Keep the swelling down and lots of rest. Perhaps a brace or an air cast to stabilize the sides of the ankle. Health Question & Answer
