Answers: Well it depends on a number of things I think, but I'm no expert:

a.) Do you drink coffee?
If yes, then you might have a caffeine addiction, generally meaning you need caffeine to function normally.
If no, proceed to question b
b.) Is your sleeping schedule regular?
The body needs time to adjust to any given sleeping schedule, so if you're not sleeping regularly on a consistent basis (so 8 hrs a night regularly), then your body will continually be adjusting, and so your body's not sure if you're getting too much or too little sleep (both cause sleepiness). Napping in afternoons can often throw this off too.
c.) How active are you?
Generally speaking, the more active you are the better you sleep at night.
d.) Do you snore?
I've heard before that snoring is caused by trouble breathing when you sleep, sleep-apnea I believe it's called. So therefore, snorers generally don't sleep as well. I think you can get surgery done on it or something. Have you been checked for sleep apnia? I think that is the way to spell it Drink More Water That helps. Go Get checked out by the doctor. It might have something to do with your head. My friend has the same thing and only thing left to check on her is her head maybe you have sleep apnea.

this means that you dont breathe properly during the night so your brain isnt getting enough oxygen while you sleep. this causes you to wake up feeling tired and groggy.

<3 It could be any one a hundred things. I have much the same problem and need to take at least one nap during the day to make up for my lack of sleep. It could be poor diet, too much sugar, lack of exercise, or physical discomfort such as neck or back ache. Sleeping too much can make cause you to feel more lethargic (less energetic). A typical adults only needs 7-8 hours of sleep. If you're still feeling tired after getting a full nights sleep, try eating a healthier diet and exercising! You won't believe how much better you'll feel when you wake up in the morning.

Also, I hope you're sleeping when the sun's down and getting up when the sun rises. You could be getting 8 hrs of sleep but if it's in the wrong time of day (i.e. from 4am-12pm) and you're messing with your body's natural time-clock, you could also have trouble. It's possible you could be sleeping to much. When you sleep you could be in a deep sleep; there are different stages of sleep. Some-people can be asleep for six hours and here a pen drop and jump up. Some people can be asleep for a few hours, and can't hear a damn thing. those who sleep harder and fall deeper into the stages of may wake up tired and still Drusy cause there body is still someone what in a state of sleep. You may be tossing and turning to much when you sleep. Try having a light dinner at an earlier hour. If your body is in overtime processing a heavy meal that will make sleepytime more of a chore. Try getting a new better supporting pillow. Then eat a good breakfast for more energy when you get up.

If you got the good insurance you may look into going to a sleep study clinic. They hook you up and moniter your night sleep and diagnose the problem. that's normal..

but try to limit the food intake late in the evening... especially sgars and caffiene-- and also drink plenty of water (cut out the sodas)

<3 I know how you feel. I would get up so tired! I work in housekeeping at our local hospital and by the end of the shift I was exhausted. Recently,I found out I have sleep apnea. I now have a cpap machine. It's kindly hard to get use to but I'm trying. I'll bet that's what you have got. email me back and let me know how you are doing.-homebuffyblue@yahoo.com Everyone is tired in the morning, its normal. best thing to do is when you wake up, dont just lay in your bed, get out of it and you'll start to wake up. Its always good to exercise, it makes you feel good and restore your energy.

Remember, if you sleep for too long, you'll feel terribly tired. i use to all the time and im glad i wake up early now cos i feel so much better and awake. This is the main complaint of people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Fibromyalgia. HOWEVER----- it could also be that your cells are not getting enough oxygen. Toxins from bad eating and environmental pollutants as well as build up from not cleaning out your lungs enough (physical exercise as well as just plain breathing exercises can help this) may prevent proper flow of oxygen.

You'' find a gazillion articles on the web that give you a plethora of reasons for CFS, but personally I believe it's all about how you maintain your "machine".

As we get older, our bodies need more help eliminating the toxins we get from everywhere----including stress!

Try to get out and walk regularly. Cut down on, or give up bad food choices and do deep breathing exercises to relieve stress. In fact, try this---- before going to bed each night for the next month do some deep breathing exercises and see if this doesn't help a little bit.

There a lot of info on the web about breathing exercises as well. I find this one to be the best http://www.authentic-breathing.com/deep_...

All that being said, if you still feel crummy after a while, go see your doctor.

Good luck! Take a multivitamin every day.
