Hey AB
The process will vary depending on where you work and what education path you choose.
You must be an EMT first which is usually a 120 hour course.
Then decide how you wish to pursue your paramedic education.
You may wish to opt for a 12-14 month certification type course.
Or a 2 year college degree program. Which will in the end better prepare you for a career.
Each state certification requirements differ and some mandate a NREMT certification as well as a state certification.
Some also want you to pass a local Medical Control exam.
Pay will also depend on the location. I can't give you ranges since I am not familiar with the areas mentioned. But you can most likely search for agencies within these states to get an idea.
