At this stage I would recommend you see a physical therapist. They will be able to work with you on specific exercises to strengthen the legs. The problem will eventually go away once you have attained your full growth cycle. There are a few exercises that you can do at home. One is to get a towel roll and place that under your knee while sitting in a long sitting position on the ground. Have the muscles of the knee push down on the towel and hold for a few seconds. Do that at least ten times. Once you have the hang of that movement it can be done standing as well. Next from the same position place a large can of tomatoes or other product with a towel over it. Use a light ankle weight draped over the ankle. Slowly lift the lower leg up and hold at the top for a second. Do this ten times and rest. Repeat this cycle twice more and place ice on the knee for fifteen minutes. Do this daily and the knee will become stronger. Don't advance the resistance level quickly or this will aggravate the problem. If you do see a therapist ask them about doing some taping techniques to ease the problem.Health Question & Answer
