Question: Anyone broken their ankle.?
Hi I broke my ankle August 13th falling down my basement stairs, I went to emerg where they took xrays and realized I needed to go for surgery to have plates and screws put in on both sides. In the ER that night they put me right out and popped it back into place. Then August 15th I was transferred to another hospital for surgery. Now tomorrow is my 6 week or so mark and I go for xrays and find out about weight baring. I am so excited I have 4 little girls so this hasn't been in easy road!
My question is...Has anyone else broken their ankle.? and if so,how long till you were better.?Health Question & Answer

I've broken my ankle before...I was on crutches for 2 months and I had to have plates, and they came out about 9 months later.
But at the moment im on crutches because I hurt my knee, ive been on them 4 3months and I'm getting the cast of in bout 2 weeks, and then Im not allowed 2 do sport 4 4 months.. Health Question & Answer

once you break a bone you will never be the same and if they leave the screws in ouch
you can feel when its going to rain and in the winter they get cold

Yes, I did when I was 14. Umm I think it was 8 months until I got everything off. Health Question & Answer
