Answers:
A heat pack will help,, if you don't have one try this

fill a gym sock up with dry cooking rice
tie off the end
microwave on high for 60 seconds
check to make sure it's not too hot
lay on it with your ear

the antibiotics take a few days to start working,,

if you don't sleep well tonight I'd call your doctor and ask him for something stronger as far as a pain med,, tylenol 3 isn't much at allHealth Question & Answer

The antiobiotics should be kicking in soon.

If you are still in pain in the next day or two, I would go back to the doctor, and have him prescribe another antibiotic. You can ask him if he/she recommends Auralgan eardrops. It directly kills the bacteria as you drop it in your ear.

also, maybe you are resistant to Tylenol #3s. I have seen some patients come back and do better on other analgesics. Ask the doctor for another type of pain medicine, like Darvocet or Vicodin.

It will just get worse and happens when you lay down due to the position of the eardrums. You must go into the emergency and get a new prescription.Health Question & Answer

You could try excedrin.? I use that for serious pains. I know how you feel, I had two ear infections at once last year, it sucked! That was my first ear infection too. :PHealth Question & Answer
