What does a fracture feel like?!
Question: What does a fracture feel like.?
I was playing ringette and I went for the ring. I felt a snap inside my hand and had instant pain. Now it's swollen and it kills to move my middle and ring finger. Movement hurts and any pressure on my hand.
I have a doctors appt but not until later today. I was wondering if anybody has had this before and what it was.?Health Question & Answer

Snap usually = fracture but it could be the bones just crackeling around and just a major sprain. Usually when sprains are this major you were better off just fracturing it though. Anyway, definitely keep that doctor's appointment since you most certainly need it. Health Question & Answer
Well since u said that it's swollen, yes there may be a chance of minor fracture. U better have it scanned by doctor. But as u told u wont be able to contact any doctor too soon, see if, the swollen hand is because of muscle pain. Try applying something which soothes the muscle pain, If pain is coz of that.. u will see some improvement, or else it may be minor fracture.Health Question & Answer
Well, usually in a sprain the whole hand hurts, in a fracture only the bone that is broken is tender and there could be some swelling around it. If you felt a snap it could be dislocated but only an x-ray can tell for sure. Good luck at the doctors today!Health Question & Answer
