Somebody PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help with my knee...?!

Question: Somebody PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help with my knee....?
On Sept 17th my knee snapped when i was just walking

the next day I went to the Urgent Care... they said I had to see another doctor the next day to get an MRI

i saw the doctor, about a week later I got an MRI, they said I had a torn meniscus, where from there I went on to see a sports doctor, who read it and said my meniscus was fine. He recommended physical therapy which I now have 3 times a week

Yesterday when i took my compression wrap off my knee was horribly swollen... it wasn't like this before... a few days ago I thought it was getting worse... apparently it is. once and a while i get these feelings of hot burnyness. after i see my PT today, should I see another doctor.?.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
I would definitely get a 2nd opinion, i know MRI results can be misread but if your knee is swelling that's not good and could make matters worse having PT with a swollen knee. Swelling is telling you that there is something wrong with the knee. So seek out a 2nd opinion and take your MRI results with you for them to see. Health Question & Answer

Certainly seek out another opinion but before doing that check with the original doctor that saw you. Let them see what is going on in the knee. The response of swelling is not the normal and an unwanted reaction. The question that must be posed to you is this. If the knee does in fact have a torn meniscus what are you going to do about it. If the knee is not locking and is able to go through an entire range of motion then the newest literature is stating to leave it alone. If you undergo even arthroscopic surgery in the long run the knee is better off not having the procedure. So what is the condition of the knee.? Can you move it fully.? If so stay with the present program just talk to the doctor about it. If the answers are not completely dealt with then by all means seek out a second opinion. Health Question & Answer
