Answers:
To start with you should wash it out with something like Optrex at home - flush all the grot out. If you're concerned it's got under your eyelid and you can't get it out yourself, then go to your nearest A&E and they'll send you up to the eye department to get it properly rinsed out.
DON'T use cotton wool as some idiot suggested - fluffy material and eyes do not mix.
If it's any help, a few years back i bleached my hair and rinsed it out in the shower, and went to bed - after waking up with a very itchy eye and my mum insisting it wasn't that bad and i should just rinse it out with optrex.... it was 2 and a half days before she took me to hospital - my eye was at pH 10 (when it should be 5 or 6). they rinsed it out, gave me some eye drops and I can still see fine (well, certainly no worse than it was before - i've been wearing glasses for nearly 20 years).

I would go to the hospital and get them to rinse it out. Bird poop is Uric Acid, which should not get into your eye. It may also be carrying bacteria from the bird's digestive tract. Bacteria and viruses can easily enter the eye because they have to pass through a simple membrane before entering the body.Health Question & Answer
First of all clean your eye with a piece of cotton wool and get all of the feces out of it and pat it dry. Now i don't know if bird poo can do anything to harm you, so i would just call the doctor on call or something to see what they say and if it is necessary they will send you to A and E, even if you feel stupid asking, it's better to be safe then sorry.Health Question & Answer
A pigeon flew too near my son and it's wing caught his eye. We went to the hospital and they took it very seriously washing out his eye with sterile wash and putting in antiseptic and anaesthetic drops.
