put a space heater in your room! as well as all the other "comfort" things you might need, like a tv or music or teddy bear etc. and then smoke a joint in bed! Health Question & Answer

You've developed insomnia. I had the same problem when I was younger. I could not sleep in my bed and had to resort to sleeping on the couch in the guest room with the TV with low to no volume.

Insomnia is usually brought on by stress, tension, or inconsistent amounts of sleep/time of going to bed. Whatever the reason, it screws up your Circadian rhythm, which governs your sleep cycles.

How I got over it is making sure I'm relaxed before I go to sleep. Try to clear you mind of anything that's stressful or keeping your mind active. Try to imagine sinking into the bed. It is said that it can take your body up to 5 minutes of not moving for your muscles to start relaxing. Try not to shift positions a lot.

I think the reason the heater/blanket/pillow combination helps you get to sleep is that the warmth/soft noise of the heater provides you with a single, simple source to concentrate on as you fall asleep. This keeps other thoughts from entering your mind and keeping you awake. The blanket and pillow serve as comfort, which also helps you drift off to sleep.

Best temporary fix would be to move the heater into your bedroom.
In the long run, though, you will need to find a way to relax your mind and body to get to sleep. Health Question & Answer

I suggest listening to an audiobook. Select an audiobook that u like, so maybe you like harry potter, buy or obtain through other means *cough*, or whatever. They distract u from ur anxiety so you can get to sleep. Trust me i had insomnia and they worked wonders. Make sure u like the book u listen to though. One thing u shouldn't do is watch tv to go to bed, or use pc. This produces light which stops the brain from shutting down, and it keeps your mind active, because your concentrating on the tv.
Hope it helps,

P.S Listen at low volume, enough so you can hear it, but not enough to keep u awake.Health Question & Answer

Is your bedroom too cold.? Maybe you could get an extra blanket or pump up the heat.
Try to think of the differences between the two rooms...if it isn't temperature, then maybe the mattress is too hard so the couch is more comfortable, or maybe the bedroom is too bright, etc.Health Question & Answer

u used to sleep in that mode but u can change it just relax and dont think about any think try adding another cover on ur body to neutralize the heat of the heater and try repeating some psams of the holy bible
