Did my arthroscopic shoulder surgery fail?!

Question: Did my arthroscopic shoulder surgery fail.?
I had arthroscopic shoulder surgery a few years ago. Since then, I haven't had any problems until recently. Two months ago and on a high dose of prednisone, I dislocated my shoulder getting back into a hospital bed. About a month ago and on a high dose of prednisone, I dislocated my shoulder looking into the refrigerator. Then, just this past Friday and on low dose prednisone, I was sitting in the driver seat of my car and reaching under the passenger seat and dislocated my shoulder again. After that, my shoulder felt unstable and I have an appt to see my doctor. Does this mean my shoulder surgery failed and I will need to have surgery again or does it mean something else.? Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Shoulder instability is very hard to correct permanently.

And yes, it probably means your surgery did not correct the whole problem, or that a new problem developed.

You're taking high doses of prednisone.? Are you aware that it can cause osteoporosis.? Please go back and see your doctor--your joint may indeed have deteriorated.
