Yesterday, i woke up with a really painful pain on my last rib. When i press my last rib it really hurts and the pain travells about 3 more inches around to my back. 2day it still hurts. I never banged my rib at all yesterday so what could it be.?.?Health Question & Answer

Do you have a cough.? A bad cough can cause you to break a rib..
Or it may also be what is called Pleurisy(spelling may be off on that one)..which is basically an inflammation..
Or it could be just a pulled muscle..

It could be floating rib pain (see website). Just a suggestion. Depending on your age, it could be growth pain as well. I had growth pains in my teens, and they went away on their own.
I would say, though, that you need to see a doc if it continues or gets worse. You never want to assume it's something minor when it could be a sign of something else more serious.Health Question & Answer
