What is THAT all about.? They say they don't really work. WHAT.? Um, the next time my kid has a runny nose and cough, feel free to drag your butts over to my house to see what cough medicine and an antihistamine can do. In a nutshell - wonders. And they say that a few days rest will do the same thing.? Yeah, and what part of the 1950's are we still living in.? My kid at home for a "few days rest" means that either my wife or I don't go to work and don't get paid.
They need to wake up before they have an entire nation giving their kids adult cold medicine, which is exactly what will happen if they pull children's medicine.Health Question & Answer

I completely agree with you. I can't believe they say these medicines do not work, it's such a LIE! Responsible parents are paying the price for irresponsible parents that are overdosing their children, that's all! Parents who can't read the box and give the right dosage, or parents who are giving medicine to their kids even when they are not sick just to get them to sleep. I'm with you, let them come over to my house when one of my babies has a cold and see the difference between a baby who can nurse and one that can't. My 6 month old was sick and I held off giving him anything under his pediatrician's advice. Except I tried the natural remedies, i.e. humidifer, bulb aspirator with saline drops, trying to get him to sleep upright. Nothing worked and he was not nursing because he was so congested. So finally I called my sister, a RN, and my brother in-law, a doctor, and whose mother is Chief of Pediatrics at a very well known good university, and they told me to give him cold medicine, imagine that! They gave me the right dosage and within the hour he was nursing and sleeping. I only gave the medicine to him once each night so he could eat and then sleep and I did this for 3 nights. Worked like a charm! Cleared up his congestion and he was much happier during the day even though he was still sick because he was sleeping and eating. So, what are parents to do now.? They will start giving their kids adult medicine so these doctors are solving nothing. They are going to have parent's trying to figure out what dosage of adult medicine to give their children which is more dangerous than just having the children's medicine out there!Health Question & Answer
Yes and that is very true because, if adults dont have childrens medicine parents will get frustrated and they will end up giving their medicine to there child in my opinion they are crazy and stupid.Health Question & Answer
