Pain in leg like a cramp.... whats it from?!

Question: Pain in leg like a cramp.... whats it from.?
hmmm how do I explain this. When I was in my bed last night I had this cramping pain in my left leg, almost like when you swim and point your toes down and your foot cramps. Except I hadn't done anything to cause a cramp and it was my whole leg! Sometimes I've gotton the similar feeling when it's my time of the month.? Could this be something more serious then just a cramp.? It almost feels like I have little circulation in my leg like that numb feeling.

Any suggestions.? Anyone ever had a similar situation.? also this isn't continuous.... it comes and goes and usually when I'm in bed or getting tired and winding down.Health Question & Answer

It may be growing pains, but I assume you're past that stage.
It's most likely the contracting of your muscles. Although muscles in your leg are voluntary, sometimes they seem uncontrollable. Perhaps after a long day of exercise or a lot of physical activity can cause the muscles to tire. Sleep is when your body repairs itself. My best guess is your body is just calming down.Health Question & Answer

Depending on how old you are, it could be growing pains. My little brother had growing pains so terrible that he couldn't stand up. also, if you just got over a sickness, your body could be contracting because your body has been trying to fight that sickness away.
If you have any other details and those situations don't apply, I'd be happy to help.Health Question & Answer

it could quite possibly be a blood clot.
go to a doctor.
it might also be RLS restless leg syndrome, mine gets a tight feeling then my foot gets sort of numb and i have to move it and massage it.Health Question & Answer
