I broke my leg up to the knee, how can I wash myself?!

Sit down in the bath (i know you probaly have showers) and don't fill the bath up too much, just a little bit. Fold two towels in half, put them together, roll them up and put them in the bath to rest your foot on (try three towels if your leg still touches the water) and just to be sure wrap some plastic bags or plastic around your leg to keep it from getting wet.

You can get cast covers from medical shops that work really well, i used one and they never let any water in when i showered. I tried taping a garbage bag over mine but the tape (special surgical waterproof tape) never stuck totally and the cast got wet. Health Question & Answer
