Question: I got the flu shot yesterday and now the injection area is red, swollen and hot to the touch is it infected.?
Answers:
Most of the time, a flu shot site should be slightly warm and slightly reddened. If it's REALLY sore, or if it's just somethign that looks serious to you, get to an ER to have them look at it - better safe than sorry. I'm a believer in going with your gut; if you're truly worried about it, then there's a reason.Health Question & Answer

This is a common reaction after any injection. Watch for thin red lines coursing down the arm from the injection site though. It should resolve shortly. This may or may not include a slight fever. Health Question & Answer

no, not infected lest you shot with unsterilized needle. take our doctor Barb M's guidances above.Health Question & Answer
