Most of the time, a flu shot site should be slightly warm and slightly reddened. If it's REALLY sore, or if it's just somethign that looks serious to you, get to an ER to have them look at it - better safe than sorry. This is a common reaction after any injection. Watch for thin red lines coursing down the arm from the injection site though. It should resolve shortly. This may or may not include a slight fever. Health Question & Answer
