Question: What do you think it is if a person has the entire back hurting on and off.?

is pregnancy only lower, right.?
so what could make pain escalate throughout the entire back.?

I am not sure if you meant your friend is pregnant or is worried that she may be pregnant. But if she is her back pain could be causing her back pain. But in any case back pain could come from just about anything, Poor posture, in correct lifting etc. If her pain continues I would suggest she see a doctor or a chiropractor.
