I work at a place where I train dogs. I had to step in the middle of a dog fight and I was bit on on my lip, arms and I received a tiny bite on my face.
How do I tell if I need stitches.?.?
My lip is probably the worst. It has been bleeding more than the other bites. All of the dogs shots are up to date. My boss is trying to talk me out of getting worker's comp, and to just put a butterfly on my lip and bandaids on the other bites.

The boss has to give you the information!! for the Workman's comp.it is the law. If she or he doesn't or wont call the labor dept! If you don't need stitches you may at the least need a tetanus shot ASAP... THE ONE ON YOUR FACE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT AND WILL SCAR!!Next the answer is up to a doctor to decide if you need more care then a band aid not your boss,,, call before it is to late and get the info from the boss. i would go to the doctor and see if you tore anything in your lip or in your other cuts. I would see if you could get put on a low dose antibiotic just in case. the infection might form a lot later than when you originally got bit.

get it looked at by a doctor. Since the lips are very rich in blood and since these wounds are on your face, you don't want to get a nasty looking scar... also just because the dogs have their shots doesn't mean the cut couldn't get infected.Health Question & Answer
go to the doctor. they have had there shots, so you don't need to worry about most viruses, but dogs mouths are full of bacteria that can be harmful to humans.Health Question & Answer
