Getting jaw wired shut today- what does it look like, and can you talk well- other tips will also help?!

I have gone through the same thing when I was 7 years old! Try wiring a 7 year olds jaw shut. It is hard to talk, but there are a few words you can get out, like more, or no more, no, yes, just some ofthe main ones... You will want to ice it to take the swelling down afterthe surgery, and finding food to eat is hard. Macaroni and cheese is kind of hard to eat, but pudding, aple sauce, jello, and mashed potatoes work. My former GF had jaw surgery and had to have it wired shut. Nothing showed outside. She took a pad with her all the time to write notes. Talking sounds like you are trying to talk with your teeth clinched.
