Question: Rice vs flaxseed or beans for homemade heat wrap.?
ok i know how to make it, its rather simple. what i don't know is or what i am unsure of is, what is the best filler for them.
i have seen many site say rice but then i seen several say flax seed or beans...and of course you can add herbs and oils for aroma therapy.

I have used rice as an emergency heat pack BUT I found that the rice looses its heat more quickly than other grains. I found one of the best is Barley. Still very cheap to buy but the grain is thicker and does keep the heat much better. If you can, when making the heat pack place some Lavender in. this is a relaxant and helps in that way, but when the pack is hot the odor [without a fragrance] can be a bit overpowering.
