Question: My husband had back surgery on the L5 area of his spine he had extreme pain the night of his surgery abscess.?
The emergency room could not get rid of the pain to the point they gave him Fentenal (sp). Then about two weeks later we discoverd through his physical therapist that the wound appered to have something under it. A nurse friend confirmed it. It turns out the stitches were being rejected by my husbands body. Could this have caused the extreme pain my husband was in.?Health Question & Answer

possible.. i would say take him to the doctor .. that would be my best and safest bet.. it could be something more serious that might have to get checked out.. so take him to the doctor and bring them up with him or her.. good luck!!Health Question & Answer
