Foot Problem for PAST 2 YEARS!!! HELP!!!?!

Question: Foot Problem for PAST 2 YEARS!!! HELP!!!.?
Okay, this is the problem... 2 years ago I went for a jog. All of a sudden I felt sharp pains on the bottom of both my feet. I stopped and walked to my apartment. I took a look at my feet and I felt around for the location of the pain. The pain was located 4 inches away from the top of my toe(shoe size 12). I'm no doctor but I'm guess its the tendon the connects from the toe to the heel. After a week, my left foot felt better but my right foot was still hurting. Every time I walked my foot spasmed with pain and it felt like my tendon moved a bit with each step. I got an arch support and it helped a bit. So, now I here today with a foot that doesn't hurt but on occasion hurts when I walk or run. Especially when I run. I can't run. I haven't ran more than a mile in 2 years and it sucks. The pain now feels like the tendon moves when I step as i run. Then after the run it becomes inflamed. I feel trapped. I can't go to a doctor because I have no health insurance. Has anyone heard of what I have or do you do if its curable.? also, when I'm dehydrated, the spasms begin again, (maybe a clue).?Health Question & Answer

Well, isn't the American Health system sad.? No insurance so has to suffer debilitating pain for 2 years.

Anyway, does your foot hurt most first thing in the morning.? Relaxes a bit after you get up and about.?

If this happens, it could be plantar fasciitis.

I've had this and it's a real pain. Things to do: get a golf ball and run your foot over it. This hurts! But it is massaging the sore tendon (the large plantar fascia that runs along your foot). If it is too sore at first, put a can of coke in the freezer, and use the frozen can as a massager for your foot. Run your foot over the side of the can to massage the plantar fascia, the cold will help with any swelling. Do this EVERY EVENING for about twenty minutes. Then move on to the golf ball.

Health Question & Answer

Metarsalgia is the irritation of the joints of the foot. An example of metarsalgia is "turf toe," a common athletic injury in which the tendon under the joint at the base of the big toe is strained.

Turf toe: An injury to the big toe due to forced hyperextension (upward bending back) of the toe. The damage is to the capsule of the joint (the first metatarsophalangeal joint) and the ligaments that connect the big toe to the foot. Hyperflexible shoes predispose to the injury. The big toe is painful, tender and swollen. Treatment is with icing, rest and anti-inflammatory medication. Taping of the big toe and a stiff insole insert in the shoe may help prevent hyperextension of the toe. Turf toe is so named for its occurrence on the artificial playing surfaces used in American football. Turf toe also occurs in other sports played on artificial turf, in grass sports, and the martial arts. also known medically as a metatarsophalangeal joint sprain.
