What are the best shoe inserts to wear for a waitress?!
Question: What are the best shoe inserts to wear for a waitress.?
I work at an entertainment facility, so the floors are all hard. Sometimes I have to jog a bit to get things done, but most of the time I'm speed walking or standing in place. I heard Dr. Scholls just feels nice for the first couple hours and then they are useless. I work 6-8 hour shifts. What would you suggest I use.?Health Question & Answer

Hi- I feel your pain! I've been a bartender for many (many) years, so keeping my feet and back happy are pretty important. i went to an orthopedic specialist because I have slightly fallen arches, and he recommended I try Superfeet, which are essentially as good as prescription insoles, but only cost $30-40 instead of $250. I love them, and wear them in everything. The problem with things like Dr Scholls is they offer cushioning, but not proper support. Superfeet are firmer, and I find they really make a difference, and they last for months, so they are cheaper in the long run. They're pretty easy to find; call around to some orthotics shops , shoe stores, and even some athletic chains might have them. Money well spent!Health Question & Answer
Use answer number one, cause I've been on my feet for years, waiting tables and helping to run resteraunts, I know a lot of people in that type of work.We just wear what ever we find to be the most comfortable for us.Just good shoes. After a while when you get use to it your feet wont hurt like that.Do not waste a lot of money unless you need to.Health Question & Answer
