Question: I came up with a theory about my headaches!.?
I've been having a lot of nose bleeds recently and today I accidently tasted some of the blood. It did not have a metallic taste at all, so does that mean my red blood cell count is low.? Maybe that is why I do not get enough oxygen, so that should be why I have frequent headaches, shortness of breath, light-headedness.
(lol I've been watching a lot of the tv show House lately)
Anyway, if you think my theory is lame can you answer this.?

just because you have iron in your blood DOES NOT mean that you will taste metal and if your having nose bleeds and headaches you need to go see a doctor tomorrow because it could be some thing really serious like say oh i don't know TUMOR not trying to scare you but that's not normal you nose should only bleed if some one hit your nose hard.
also red blood cells count being low would mean your not making enough blood and you would have already died i don't think that's even possible maybe your thinking white blood cells. also stop i repeat stop watching house those wired problem are very rare and unlikely to happen i do agree it's a good show but if you watch it to much it will get to you.Health Question & Answer

If you have nosebleeds you could have a serious sinus problem, especially when it's accompanied by headaches and shortness of breath. You should go to the doctor and, if you're concerned about your blood cell count, request to have your hemoglobin checked. The normal range is around 12-15.
As for the metal taste, it could be your tastebuds or you don't have enough iron in your diet. Try eating a high vegetable diet with plenty of meats for protein. And please do go see your doctor, that sounds rather serious.

It would be next to impossible for you to try and diagnose yourself by the way that your blood tastes. Just a guess here, but do you take a lot of aspirin or other headache medicine for your headaches.? If so stop immediately and after a while you will probably feel better.
