I'm listening to a relaxation tape it must be through earphones, if I fall asleep, can those wires hang me if I fall out the bed, or something.? If they get tangled.

The body is stronger than that, not to mention either the plug would be pulled out or the earbuds fall out.
But to be on the safe side, don't bury the player in your pocket; just rest it on the bed or hold it in your hand til you fall asleep.Health Question & Answer

it depends how well you sleep.
for me, i can't sleep without listening to music (i have insomnia as well) so i listen to my iPod for a few hours until i fall asleep.
there are times when i wake up with the wires are actually wrapped around my neck.
Other times when they're not around my neck but the earphones are secured in my ear and the wires were tangled in my fingers so when I stretched, the earbud would pull off and snap at my ear and kinda damage the earphones...
but that's only me, just try it once but i don't think it can kill you.Health Question & Answer

i go to sleep with earphones in all the time and its never happened to me. earphones are light and thin so they're too weak to do so.
also, your body would easily react to a strangling if you were sleeping.
if you head was to hang of the side of your bed whilst your earphones are wrapped around your neck, you would barley feel it! they might even snap from the pressure from being pulled!

i cant really see it damaging you or anything, personally though if you move around in your sleep i would go for some in-ear headphones theirs less chance of them falling out.

No... lol, but they will fall out! My nephew, used to have those kinda tapes, and they are very good for relaxing you, and for falling asleep to, I personally put the radio on, it stays on for an hour, then goes off!
