It's possible that you have carpal tunnel or a pseudo carpal tunnel syndrome, such as thoracic outlet syndrome. There are actually tests that are used to diagnose this and numbness in certain fingers actually mean different things.

They would want you to have surgery to clip the binding that holds those nerves together; a great way to treat the symptoms but rarely the actual underlying cause, which does nothing in the long run if that's not the real problem. A tingly hand or arm is often the result of compression in the bundle of nerves in the neck. Loosening the neck muscles releases the pressure. Compressed nerves lower in the body govern the feet, and standing up and walking around will typically relieve the sensation. An arm that has "fallen asleep" may also be "awoken" more quickly by clenching and unclenching the fist several times; the muscle movement increases blood flow and helps the limb return to normal.

Sometimes I fall asleep while lying on my arm and when I wake up I can't move it. It scared the heck out of me the first time it happens, but now i just pick it up with my other arm and toss it around until I get the feeling back.Health Question & Answer
yeah...does it happen when you have been on the computer.? with the hand you use for the mouse.? if so then that it will be cause you hand isnt moing much...if not then maybe go to the doctors cause it may be something to do with circulation =)

pinched nerves.....
I have it because I got cut with some glass and tiny ..very tiny sliver went into the nerve and it never recovered even after surgery.

it must be your ulnar nerve bothering you. that is the area felt by that nerve. as for i cause could be a lot of things. my advice would be that if it is reoccuring often then see your Dr.Health Question & Answer
