Depends on what kind of pain it is. Sharp burning pains indicate worn down/pulled muscles but that doesn't mean you slept wrong... you may have sat wrong for a long period of time, talked on the phone too long (you know, holding the phone with your shoulder)... mabe you put too much pressure on the shoulder joint and its a little sore
it could be arthritis but i think you would have it other places aswell
id say u strained ur shoulder
its like exercising without warming up even the littlest thing could injure you
