I have a blister on the Bottom of my Big toe! Help?!

Question: I have a blister on the Bottom of my Big toe! Help.?
Ok I am on the Practice squad for my College's Basketball team and the shoes im wearing are warn out and today the soles of my shoes gave out. Now my Big right toe has a Huge Blister on it. I want to make it heal as fast as I can because I have practice on Saturday (4 days). Should I pop it or let it heal and if so, any way to make it heal faster.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Pop it and healing begins faster.

Carefully pop it and remove as much of the dead skin as possible as these loose flaps can harbour bacteria and cause infection.

The area will initially sting as soon as water hits it, but this will lessen as you carefully wash it. You must clean the area well.

Use Neosporin and a good bandage. Change the dressing at least 2x per day and keep as much pressure off of it as possible.

Keep it clean
Keep as much pressure off of it as possible
Keep it dressed with the bandage and Neosporin
Did i mention keeping it clean.? Which means washing it with soap and water. The shower does not really count. You must clean it even after the shower. Shower floors are full of bacteria. Put your foot up in the sink after and run water over it as you gently clense it with either your hands or a cotton ball dampened with a mild soapy solution.

I hope you can get new shoes. You need to talk with your coach ASAP if this is not financially possible for you and your family.Health Question & Answer
