Suboxone-I am sooo tired?!

Question: Suboxone-I am sooo tired.?
I have had an addiction problem from percocet, dilaudid and other pain killers for 4 years (ever since i started having to have so many surgeries)....i have no health insurance. a friend of mine takes 8mg suboxone and gave me 2 of them because i started to go through withdrawls. i do have a chronic pain problem but unfortnately i have such a hard time taking them correctly. anyway i researched it, and i only took less than half of the pill, not even 4mg, and about an hour later i felt better, my withdrawl symptoms were going away but now i feel SO incredibly tired. i'm afraid to go to sleep. i take 2mg of klonipin a day i've taken those for 10 years, but my psychiatrist is so conservative if i tell her i have an addiction problem she will cut me off the klonipin, and I DO take those correctly i always have. i dont think i like this how long will it take to get this out of my system.? it almost feels like i am taking my usual opiates , just less euphoria and more sleepiness. i just want to try and quit myself, without this. plus i hate that i dont have a script for it because ...well our healthcare system sucks, but i just didnt know what else to do i was feeling really bad. any advice on this would be great. one more question are you suppose to start out taking Subutex (i think thats what its called) before Suboxone.? the difference i think is that one has Beuphrinorphine and the other does too but it also has Naloxone added to it. I feel so stupid i just didnt know what else to do i was feeling so bad. and PLEASE guys no judgement this can happen to ANYONE at ANYTIME...i never thought this would happen to me from having surgeries....but it did and i AM trying. thanks and God BlessHealth Question & Answer

Hi there! (i copied and pasted your answer from a question regarding Suboxone someone asked a months back) I tried to edit this as much as possible for you....First off, I can totally relate. Yes, the Suboxone will make you sleepy...
"Like you, my husband and I too have tooken/became addicted to painkillers like vicodin, norcos, percs, etc..You get the idea. I started taking them about 4 years ago (like youself) just because of the hype (not like you..im very dumb/wasnt thinking of the outcome), and found out "wow, i like this feeling". my husband took them for the "high feeling" and for his lower back-pinched nerve. but anyways, last year my husband decided.. "enough was enough". He figured, why bother wasting his health & money (we get so depressed of "having no money" cause we began buying them off the street) for a feeling of your "first high experience" you'll never really feel again. So he went to his doctor who specializes with Suboxone. Suboxone is a medication which specializes with people (like my husband and I) for opiate dependency. He prescribed him 8mg (like your friend takes)of it. When he made the appt, the nurse told my husband on the phone, when he comes in he has to be in a mild-moderate withdrawal, therefore when they gave him the Suboxone it could work properly. Because if you pop a pain pill before you take Suboxone, your risky your bodygoing into more of a "feening/craving" withdrawal feeling. So that first day, his dr gave him a whole pill of Suboxone-8mg. The correct way to take this medicine, you have to stick it under your tongue and let it dissolve so it goes into your bloodstream (the taste isnt the greatest, not too bad though). That first day was still pretty rough for him. he layed in bed pretty much all day because he actually felt "high" (and VERY tired) from the Suboxone (which you do feel "high" somewhat to get you away from the other opiates. Its just a milder feeling, but it really helps with the cravings. The effects from Suboxone sorta "mimic" those from other opiates like Vicodin). Then after he got thru the first day, he broke the pill into 4's, and took a piece at a time...basically he just took 2mg at a time...that whole 8mg that first day was personally too much for him, thats why he broke it into 4's). Then later in the day/before bedtime, if he felt like he was starting to feel that craving or withdrawal feeling, he would take another piece and was fine. But all in all, since ive tooken painkillers as well, i too have taken Suboxone as well. It truly does help alot! And it really gets you thru the tough times. Some people are anti-medicine, only natural things can help. Yeah that maybe so, but to me some people (like myself and husband) need that extra kick in the butt, and Suboxone worked for us! I truly wish you the best of luck. i hope this sorta helped in anyway...God Bless!

p.s. FYI: only thing that sucks, ive found (for me alteast) the Suboxone can make me somewhat sleepy and tends to give me a slight headache, but then again anything gives me a headache! lol

go to this website for more information...it helps alot!
