Sore clicking/popping knee?!

Question: Sore clicking/popping knee.?
My knee if popping or clicking when I put it straight, its so painful when i am walking, and when i sat down it strains up to my hip.
I went to the doctor and he was f-ing useless, he gave me some tablets anti imflammitries, but they are not working at all.
Driving this morning was so painful....Im only 24 so should be anything serious should it.?
Anyone had the same experiance, who maybe knows whats wrong.

I have not had any injuries either, its strange.
Cheers for your help :)Health Question & Answer

omg same here...is it when you drive you have to straighten it to pop it as it is so uncomfortable... i have had this since the birth of my child because i had fallen down the stair s and had sprained my ankle. well thats what i think..doc is as u say no use and have been sent for physio to no use... ive been told acupuncture may work but aint tried that yet,,,,

good luck with this as mine is coming up to 8 yrs of pain now. (im in my late 20s).Health Question & Answer

It sounds to me as if you have put your cartilege out. This can be done quite easily running upstairs, or somnething as mundane as that. Your knee is probably swollen or a bit puffy and very tender to touch as well. Do not worry; it will take a few days or even a week but will settle down and the inflamation will go. Sleeping with a cold water bandage at night helps.Health Question & Answer
