I have a question about my arthoscopic knee surgery.?!

Question: I have a question about my arthoscopic knee surgery..?
I had the surgery two weeks ago and they gave me my report today and I want to know what this really means because the doctor just read the paper to explain it. I do understand what the loose body is though.

Findings:
1. Loose body 2x1cm
2. An area of grade 4 chondromalacia 2 x 1 over the superomedial portion of the medial femoral condyle.
3. Grade 2-3 chondromalacia of the entire inferior aspect of the medial facet of the patella.
4. Grade 1-2 chondromalacia of the weightbearing surface of the medial femoral condyle.
5. The medial compartment showed no meniscal tears.
6. The notch contents showed that the ACL fibers were intact.
7. The lateral compartment of the knee showed there was no chondromalacia. No evidence of meniscal tears.

Operations Performed:
1. Arthroscopic removal of loose body, right knee.
2. Arthoscopic chondroplasty of the patella.
3. Arthroscopic microfracture of the medial femoral condyle, medial compartment of the knee.

Plan:
The patient will begin immediate rehab. I will allow him weight bearing while he is in a brace from 20-60 degrees range of motion. Again, I will follow this patient through his postoperative course. His ACL fibers appeared a little bit loose to me on exam. His examination under anesthesia did not show a pivot shift and it did show relatively poor endpoint on the Lachman.

So, what do you think.? I am in a job that involves daily physical training such as running and hauling heavy things, and I want to know if the above information will affect me in the future or will it heal fine.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Without going into too much detail over interpreting the report basically it says you have diagnosed wear and tear of your weight bearing cartilages in your knee. Some of this wear is quite advanced and will most likely be a problem for you in the future. You are well on your way to developing osteo-arthritis of that knee joint. You may even have noticed some crunching and grinding from that knee now due to the wear and tear of cartilage. You are prone and will become more prone to swelling of the knees from misuse/overuse.
Your Anterior Cruxial Ligaments are quite okay and no problems there and your knee joint is nice and tight and stable. Your joint cartilage, other than where the body was removed is okay but worn.
You will do further damage from too much knee activity sports such as tennis and football or lifting and moving heavy weights. So, if you can find an easier way to move the weights around or get a less physical job. One day even walking up stairs will start to hurt your knee and it'll feel weaker when going up the stairs. Health Question & Answer

Basically means you already have some arthritis. Microfracture is only for areas with all cartilage gone. You are closer to major surgery than you would like. Unfortunately sports activities will likely accelerate the degenerationHealth Question & Answer

i didnt read the lengthy entry, but apparently shooting yourself in the face cures the problemHealth Question & Answer
