She didn't follow protocol, that's for sure. You could have gotten hurt. It could have also been something serious depending on the type of seizure.

What I would do.? Make sure the student isn't in a position to hurt himself. also, if the student was prone to seizures I'd kept an eye on it, if it were a surprise seizure I'd fetch the nurse and the kid's parents or whatever guidelines the school had set.Health Question & Answer

This teacher needs to be reported. What would have happened if you had bit your tongue during the seizure.? Or worse, swallowed it.? Seizures are dangerous for you and I can't imagine how one could continue a lesson and not be alarmed.
You need to speak up and file a complaint against her! Do your parents know what happened.? If not, you need to tell them.
When parents send their kids to school for 8 hrs out of the day, any responsible parent will hold the school responsible for not tending to their child's needs during that time.
Better yet, if this had been a first time, you should had a hospital visit right at the time of seizure or minutes after.
Tell your parents, report her and go get a check-up!Health Question & Answer

hey. what's up.

i actually have epilepsy too... you didn't do anything wrong, but hopefully you went to see your doctor re: upping the dosage/switching medications if the one you're currently on [you are on one, right....?] isn't working for you. that being said, your teacher should NOT have kept teaching. she should have called the nurse immediately, who should have called your parents to take you home. did she just keep teaching until you regained conciousness.? and then make you take your seat again.? she could be fired for that, or at least harshly disciplined. b/c that's just irresponsible of her.

NO FAULT of yours. Don't feel responsible.

I smell a lawsuit!
A nice one that starts with "negligence" and ends with "emotional trauma" and "settlement fee".

And maybe a nice note that says "If you cannot understand the nature of a INVOLUNTARY seizure, I kindly suggest you go OD on pain meds"

Sorry for your luck. I know what a teacher like that is like...

She was just probably annoyed. But she should have been worried instead of being a witch about it. I would have put them on the ground moved some desks out of the way and waited till it was over.Health Question & Answer

Maybe she thought you were faking or disrupting the class. Tell your parents to talk to your teacher about First Aid Procedures.Health Question & Answer
